Mission and Responsibilities
Emergency Plan Coordination
Direct and coordinate the development of an Emergency Operations Plan.
Identify departments and agencies that will be included in the plan and will
provide an written annex to support the Emergency Plan.
Coordinate the steps necessary to prevent or reduce the impact of a disaster.
Relief Forces
Identify organizations and agencies to be included in the Emergency Plan as
disaster relief forces.
Coordinate the recruitment, training, and utilization of volunteer personnel.
Disaster Relief
Develop and maintain an up to date resource manual
Educate the public as to the actions necessary for the protection of life and
property in an emergency or disaster.
Oversee the implementation of all functions necessary for disaster relief
operations.
