Moved by Commissioner Davis, supported by Commissioner Arnold, to approve the minutes of the Special Meeting of August 16, 2006, as printed.

Moved by Commissioner Davis, supported by Commissioner Arnold, to approve the minutes of the Work Session of August 30, 3006, as submitted.

Stephanie Harbour reviewed the report of Dietrich Bailey Associates, which recommended tabling the request.

The Fire Department report and the report from Ronald E. Witthoff, representing Plymouth Township,was received.

Rick Dopp and Bruce Johnson of Campbell/Manix, Inc., presented building elevations and materials that were reviewed by the Commission.

Moved by Commissioner Pratt, supported by Commissioner Davis, to table Application 1900/1005, Campbell/Manix, Inc., for Schoolcraft Corporate Center, be tabled for up to 60 days.

Seth Shpargel reviewed the report of McKenna Associates. The report from the Fire Department was received.

Attorney Salem Samaan addressed the Commission on behalf of the applicant, and the engineer addressed the Commission and indicated the sign colors and where they will appear.

Moved by Commissioner Pratt, supported by Commissioner Davis, to approve Application 1939/0806, Faisal and Sons Investments, Inc., for the monument sign at the Shell Station at 39621 Ann Arbor Road, subject to the following conditions:

1. That the plans be adjusted to specifically note the proper setback of the sign and the placement of the sign.
2. The buffer zone is approved to fit the sign into the ordinance.
3. The 9-inch letters are approved.
4. The colors and materials as noted this evening on the site plan are also approved.

        Washtenaw County:  land use, infrastructure, natural resources” to
        meet the qualification procedure and criteria of the policies and
        procedures for the Michigan Agricultural Preservation Fund.

Moved by Commissioner Arnold, supported by Commissioner Davis, to receive and file the resolution from Washtenaw County.

    2. Request for Review and Comment on Proposed Amendments
        to the Superior Township Growth Management Plan

Moved by Commissioner Pratt, supported by Commissioner Davis, to receive and file the Request for Review and Comment on Proposed Amendments to the Superior Township Growth Management Plan, with instructions to Ms. Shoemaker to send a letter showing no impact to the Township and appreciation for the opportunity to review and comment.

ITEM NO. 10 -- BOARD OF TRUSTEES ACTION

    1. At the meeting of September 12, 2006, the Board of Trustees
        rescinded the denial of P.C. #1928/0506 Powell Road Rezoning,
        and remanded it to the Planning Commission to answer questions.

Moved by Commissioner Pratt, supported by Commissioner Davis, to direct staff to send the questions received to McKenna Associates for further consideration.
